UNICEF and Microsoft partnership
Driven from their home by conflict, poverty, climate change or in hope of a better life, thirty million children and young people are on the move. On their journey, they are exposed to danger, deprived of rights and miss out on educational opportunities.
UNICEF and Microsoft launched a partnership focused on empowering, educating and protecting displaced children and young people. Together, the organizations are scaling their strengths—technology, expertise, resources, reach and advocacy—to ensure displaced children and young people have a sustainable future.
The partnership supports the creation of the Learning Passport, a digital platform powered by Microsoft Community Training, aimed at ensuring displaced children and young people can access quality learning. The partnership is also committed to strengthening and scaling Primero, a digital case management system, to help the social services workforce protect children and young people. These solutions will enable an entire generation to access a brighter future.
