Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions

Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.

Compassion and a strong moral compass is essential to every democratic society. Yet, persecution, injustice and abuse still runs rampant and is tearing at the very fabric of civilization. We must ensure that we have strong institutions, global standards of justice, and a commitment to peace everywhere.

UPS: Human Trafficking

The multi-billion dollar criminal enterprise of human trafficking impacts hundreds of thousands in the United States and more than 20 million people globally.

As a global transportation leader with a vast network of employees, UPS is uniquely positioned to help stop human trafficking. UPS has stepped up their efforts to put the brakes on human trafficking through stronger policies, employee awareness initiatives and strategic philanthropic partnerships.

In 2016, UPS joined forces with Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT), a Colorado based non-profit, whose mission is teach truck drivers how to recognize the signs of sex trafficking. They have now provided training to their entire U.S. driving operations, more than 97,000 drivers and supervisors, including delivery providers and over the road semi-tractor trailer drivers. UPS also supports TAT with in-kind transportation of TAT’s Freedom Drivers Project, which uses a semi-tractor trailer equipped with educational resources to serve as a mobile educational exhibit on human trafficking. The mobile museum has been hauled more than 131,000 miles.
